“ This little dive is phenomenal! I had the Taxco Quesadillas which were so surprisingly good, I know I’m hooked already. My husband had 4 tacos: 2 pastor and 2 birria. His fav were the Birria. Sooooo much food and each bite was perfectly tasty. Oh and get the cucumber lemonade!!! Totally worth the trip there!!! ”
“ Love this place! The tacos de trompo here are absolutely delicious. The service is always friendly and quick. Their aguas frescas are refreshing and complement the food perfectly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with nice decor. I’ve been coming here for a while and never been disappointed. Their birria tacos are worth trying too! Highly recommend Taqueria Flor de Taxco to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food in Tyler. ”
“ Great food. I had the chorizo and eggs with some beans...the chorizo and the beans are just incredible! 5 stars for sure ”
“ Best Mexican Food place in Tyler, TX. Not only are the employees the nicest people but the food is immaculate. I highly recommend the trompo tacos as they’re super flavorful and juicy. The agua fresca drinks are amazing. I recommend the melon, horchata, or pepino y limon. Please stop by and support this local business. You won’t regret it! ”
“ The absolute best chimichanga I have ever had!! Flavor was on point portion size perfect for the price! Will definitely continue to eat here. Have not had a bad meal or experience yet! And the employees are great!! Photos are of birria tacos and nacho fries!! They were both out of this world!! ”
“ I just recently moved and this placed happened to be super close by, so of course I made the trip over to get some grub. For their Thursday special they were offering enchiladas for 8.99. I got chicken with a side of rice and beans. I ordered their Horchata as well. It was SO GOOD. All of it. The food also came with a small side of red salsa and chips. Both the chips and the dip were delish; low to medium level spice for those wondering. The horchata was great, some of the best I’ve tried. To be fair, I only recently learned about the existence of horchata due to a dear friend introducing me to it. But! It’s been my goal to try many of the places that offer it and this was some of the best I’ve had so far. Take from that what you will. The restaurant itself is small, but it has a few tables and stools to wait at or dine at. The staff members were friendly and my order didn’t take too long to come up. Overall, I’m pleased with the food and the prices. I am super excited to have this yummy little place within walking distance. I can’t wait to try more of their menu and would recommend it! ”
“ Wife had an extended doctor’s appointment in Tyler. Dropped her off and off I went to find breakfast nearby. Started with Menudo... served with lime wedges, chopped onion & cilantro, and 3 small flour tortillas. Jarritos Mango to drink. Menudo broth & tripe were excellent. No hominy though... and I love hominy... but it was still very tasty! Followed up with a Huarche Carne Asada... it was outstanding... loved the Salsa Verde! I’ll be back! ”
“ Small, homey, and friendly. Good food consistently, I always get the Quesabirria and it's always great. The only issue is that during meal times, the restaurant and parking lot can be a bit small for all the demand. Other than that, it's a great spot. ”
